Private Equity Analyst

Responsibilities for private equity analyst

• Analyze and validate data from multiple sources.

• Assisting other team members to measure and monitor the performance of portfolio companies, helping to implement operational changes.

• Screen and develop new investment opportunities through the manager search and selection process.

• Build strong relationships with existing and prospective general partners.

• Prepare for and conduct due diligence meetings.

• Contribute industry news, research and data to the team.

• Perform post-investment monitoring of funds, including periodic meetings with general partners, annual meeting attendance and office visits.

• Prepare comments for the quarterly reports.

• Research and investigate matters as required by clients or regulators.

• Manage and maintain data related to underlying fund performance and company data.

Qualifications for private equity analyst

• MBA, CFA or CAIA preferred.

• CFA qualification preferred (not essential)

• Strong Undergraduate academic record

• Accounting or Finance undergraduate degrees a plus

• Minimum of four years of accounting experience

• Ability to identify and recommend improvements upon analysis of processes.
